Fieldtrip

Club Photowalk at Wildwood with Phil Lloyd

July 15th, 6 AM until about noon.  We will meet at the Olewine Nature Center adfjacent to the upper parking lot

Come join Phil Lloyd as he leads this nature photography walk.  Get tips on beginning to see all the beauty that nature has to offer as we wander the trails of Wildwood Park and immerse ourselves in Wildwood time.  Before we begin the walk, we’ll focus on some simple do’s and don’ts to help get the most from our time and treat nature with the respect she deserves.  Wildwood park offers a great biodiversity that will challenge your skills and abilities.  On any given day you may see Great Blue Herons, White Egrets, Little Green Herons, an occasional Black Crown, all manner of song birds including warblers, wax wings, and cardinals to name a few.  Look for snails, slugs, dragon flies and daces.  Turtles abound here too! There are many different types of plants and wildflowers at the park. Did I mention butterflies, moths and spiders.  Bring the 4 essentials required for nature photography:  Camera, tripod, patience and a sense of wonder for the natural world.  Our goal: To enjoy the beauty of nature and to make the ordinary look extraordinary as we capture fleeting moments of time never to be repeated.
